Sundays are the BEST!

Today, Sunday, was pretty cool. It was regional conference. Pres. Packard spoke and shared stories from his life and how the lord had blessed him. He turned 87 yesterday. he is a pretty funny guy. Elder Holland spoke about faith and remembering by sharing pioneer stories. These weren't the typical ones though. They were about the saints who after arriving to Utah we called to be missionaries and to go settle in southern Utah, Colorado, and California. One place the mission was called "The Muddy." It was barren places that were dangerous to travel. Pres. Packard spoke about how our lives are more difficult than the pioneers. It sounded a lot like what mom always tells us. Sister Julie B Beck spoke about faith. She said we are doing better than we give ourselves credit. But she also said we can do better. It is all dependent on faith, not education, finances, or what ever else you might turn to. It was really motivating. Elder Snow of the 70 spoke about remembering. Amy you would appreciate this. He spoke about remembering by building monuments. It made me think of Jerusalem and all of the monuments (piles of rocks) and how those were to help us remember specific people, events, and experiences. It was cool because I started to think of different things in my life that are "monuments" that I can use as ques to help me remember my Savior. I really am blessed for all the good things and people that help me want to be better.
