Back in the USA

Here are a few other highlights about the US.  You can turn right on a red.  There is no additional sugar tax at the store on items with sugar.  Costco!  We can call anyone at any time because our cell phone plan works, and we are almost all on the similar time zones or close enough.

I just have to say we have been so so blessed.  So many kind people have helped us in our return to the states with moving, taking care of our cars and returning them, inviting us over for meals, etc.  Monday we moved all of the boxes into the house from the storage unit and it only took 2 hours.  It took us until Saturday night to finally get the boxes put away.  J  Saturday we went to the temple and it was so good to be able to go to the temple and to know we can go frequently.  We went out with the Sister Missionaries afterward.  The appointment wasn’t there but we decided to talk with a nice man on a motor cycle just by the apartment complex.  It was a really interesting discussion.  I love sharing the gospel.  That night we went to chaperone for the youth stake dance.  They are a little different than EFY dances so that was weird for me.  There ended up being tons of chaperones so we didn’t stay the whole time.

Overall it was a good week.  Yes it is warmer in Houston, but for some reason I am still cold and wearing one or two jackets all the time.  Crazy.

Oh I almost forgot to tell you about Sunday.  Sunday was great.  Church was good.  It is fun to see people who struggle to come, but who want to come, make progress in coming each week.  After church we went to our home teachers house for lunch and a lesson because their car broke down.  Jake was able to help them, as he has a code reader, to let them know what the issue was.  Then we went over to some friends for dinner.  It was really fun to see their new apartment and just to spend time with them.  They are really good friends to us and we are just so blessed to have so many wonderful friends here in Houston.

So life is good.  We are so blessed to have the gospel.  It truly influences every aspect of our life.  We are grateful Jake has his old job back.

We love you all and hope things are going well.
